I started up an interesting project:for one entire month I will only listen to music from the 70s.
Why?Because I feel like I don't know enough music from the 70s.
So far I added these albums to my MP3:
The Cure-Three Imaginary Boys
Middle Class-Out Of Vogue (first hardcore punk album)
Nick Drake-Bryter Layter
Nick Drake-Pink Moon
Patti Smith-Horses
Pink Floyd-Dark Side Of The Moon
The Clash-London Calling
The Clash-The Clash
Public Image Ltd.-Metal Box
Joy Division-Unknown Pleasures
The Ramones-Ramones

annnd I plan on adding a lot more that I haven't listened yet.If anyone has any recommendation, feel free to tell me.

After I finish this month I plan on having a "60s month" then "80s months" and so on.

2008 Forth (1 word)

It's a countdown.I wonder if this was intended.
It's possibe. There are lots of artist who hide easter eggs in their songs, cover art and lots of other things. Aphex Twin hid an encoded image in one of his songs. Radio head had some creepy connections in their albums. One band had three songs that if you combined together turmed into a whole new song. The list goes on and on.

Hmmm...Wonder what they would've called their 5th album? Laughing

They could get away with a self-titled album. Some could argue that counts as nameless album,it could also count as a fresh start.Wilco did that with their 7th album. (most self-titled albums only have the name of the band on the cover, the "self-titled" status is sometimes unofficial -thus 0 words- just like with "white albums" or "black albums"...The Beatles and Jay-Z, respectively. There's even the Led Zeppelin I,II,III and IV as examples of untitled albums)
Or maybe using symbols?

Great band I found on Bandcamp: http://brokencups.bandcamp.com/album/slaves-of-the-grave
They are like the Dead Kennedys combined with Joy Division, really worth checking out. Wink

If you like what you're hearing feel free to like their Facebook page, I'm sure they'll appreciate it a lot.

I'll check that out sometime. Love Dead Kennedys but I don't know Joy Division. Sounds cool though.

It's punk with lots of synths and energic rhythms. Easy to like.
Also, Hungary is close to my town, if they ever get enought money to tour outside Hungary then I'll be one of the first to see them live.
Saw this Hungarian band a while ago and they were great:

Even met them in the bathroom after the concert, really nice dudes.

These are my two favorite songs of all time:

I would gladly die in an epic battle to either of these songs.

Three Days Grace's new album! It's really good and definitely a step up from 'Life Starts Now' (which I'm not a big fan of) This album may not be anything special but 3DG is the band that got me into rock and music in general. Still remember hearing Animal I Have Become when I was 9.

Haven't heard the whole thing yet, just the singles. Yeah, they're awesome though definitely not my thing. Razz

I thought 21st Century Breakdown was perfect though. Is the rest of the album like that?

I think 21th Century was perfect too, it made my 2009 really awesome...but so does Uno, listen to the whole thing, trust me, listening to an album is wildly different from just hearing the singles, it's an experience:

Yeah, it was really tough hearing that news. It was a tragic thing. RIP.

Deftones have actually become my favorite band recently, especially after hearing Koi No Yokan, which is my favorite album by them. I'm just lucky enough to be able to catch their concert here though! May 23rd Smile

This is actually my first rock concert (second overall) and I really don't know what to do Razz I'll just be that guy awkwardly standing in the middle of a sea of people letting loose and rocking out Razz

I've been listening to SCANNER's Hyper Trace album a lot lately, it still sounds good for a 80s' metal. Very Sc-fi.
