Ben 10:Omniverse chatter :)

Ben 10 Omniverse is now available on the network Xbox Live for Windows 8, though not officially released yet.

So in Xbox Marketplace you can now play Ben 10: Omniverse, if Hopefully you guys have this so we can get some walkthroughs on Youtube before anyone plans on getting the game itself.

I'm actually surprised how many games Ben 10 has. Not all are full length but still. It's great.

I've only played Protector of Earth and Alien Force though.

I think Atomix will be showing up.

Once I asked Derrick who Ben's most powerful non-Alien X alien was, and he said Atomix.

But if Atomix was only a name to him, why would he say that?

Probably because Atomix is a real alien he's seen in action.

My thoughts on Omniverse after I've given it some time

The Good
- Rook is a very interesting character his interactions with Ben may be the best part of the show
- Redesigns of aliens look good, fitting for the particular animation
- The show doesn't hold your hand with the aliens, you never know who will show up and they don't shout their names. Long time Ben 10 fans appreciate this
-Different voice actors for aliens make them more diverse, (I'm sure Dee Baker appreciates)
-They handled Grampa Max well by giving him an underground base Plumber base as his status quo (but seriously, no eyes?!)
-New Omnitrix looks cool
-New aliens are creative (except Shocksquatch)
-flashbacks give the show an entertaining dynamic

The Bad
- the New Omnitrix is super annoying. I don't find the accidental transformations funny. Seriously, Ben has been doing this for years now and is well aware of his wide range of aliens. The writers can stop using the "Humongousaur" gag, it's tired.
- Another New Omnitrix complaint, Ben should be able to choose when he times out. People like seeing him in his alien forms, hear them talk. It's a letdown when Ben only stays alien for less than a minute.

- Khyber and his pet are good villains, but it annoys me that they are the main villain. I never feel like Ben's in trouble because I know there's like a million ways he can get out of any situation. Aggregor, Vilgax, Highbreed, Ghostfreak, even Daggon, all good villains because they were more powerful than Ben.

-The flashbacks are great except for one thing. They totally trashed Gwen. Ben and Gwen fighting was funny, but it was also good to see them working together. I was glad Ashely johnson did Gwen in "Trouble Helix," but god was she unpleasant! She was really whiny

I just learned from Derrick Wyatt that the nemetrix is a a knock off of the omnitrix.

I just want to focus on this criticism in particular. Because I have the exact opposite feeling about Khyber. To me it's not that he's particularly powerful, but he's the perfect counter to Ben. Ben doesn't have a dozen ways to get out of situations versus Khyber because he always has something to counter Ben. The only reason Ben kept winning is either Because Khyber was gauging his strengths or because something else got in the way. Did you see Ball Weevil vs Francis, There was literally nothing Ben could do that could work against Terroranchula.
I would say that none of those other enemies were actually as strong as Ben during AF-UA. Ben's weaknesses were always over exaggerated. When Diagon appeared I said, "Yeah, well Ben could become the indestructible Chromastone and send all that power right back at him," and I could say that of all the villains you named with some other alien, (four of the original 10 AF aliens were indestructible and four to five more are very difficult to kill).
Khyber falls out of this pattern. "Need to kill a Crystalsapien, The Nemetrix has an app for that."
